Why we can promise that

Noah's Doodle requests no Android permissions at all — not even internet access. This isn't a policy choice we're asking you to trust; the app is technically incapable of sending anything anywhere, because Android will not grant it a network connection.

What the app stores, and where

Everything below is written to the app's private internal storage, which no other app on the device can read:

• Drawings — saved as the list of strokes that made them, plus a small PNG thumbnail for the "My Fridge" gallery.
• Photo backdrops — if a grown-up chooses photos to draw on top of, a downscaled copy of each one (up to six) is kept in that same private storage.
• Settings — small preferences such as whether sound is on.

There is no user account, no identifier, no profile, and no usage log.

Photos

A grown-up can pick photos from the device to use as a backdrop for drawing. This uses Android's system photo picker, which means:

• The app never receives permission to browse your photo library. It is shown only the specific image tapped, and nothing else.
• The chosen image is copied into the app's private storage, resized down and turned upright, and the temporary access to the original is released.
• The copy never leaves the device.
• Adding a photo, and removing one, both sit behind the parental gate.

Sharing

Saving or sharing a drawing is possible only after passing a parental gate — a three-second two-handed hold, or a simple multiplication question. The gate is never remembered between sessions.

When a grown-up chooses to share, Noah's Doodle hands a single PNG image to Android's standard share sheet, and the grown-up picks where it goes. Noah's Doodle does not upload it and cannot see where it is sent. What happens to the image after that is governed by whichever app receives it.

Children's privacy

Noah's Doodle is designed for children and is intended to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the GDPR's protections for children, and Google Play's Families Policy.

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing to obtain parental consent for, nothing to disclose, and nothing to delete from a server.

Third parties

There are none. Noah's Doodle contains no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, and no social media integrations. No data is sold or shared, because none is gathered.

Deleting everything

• Individual drawings can be deleted in the app by long-pressing them in "My Fridge" and confirming.
• Photo backdrops can be removed by long-pressing them in the Backdrop tray.
• Uninstalling Noah's Doodle permanently removes all drawings, photo copies and settings from the device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since the app collects no data, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new practice.
